Good morning and welcome to Computer Science. I hope you had a healthy Spring Break. We are all doing fine in the Brown household. Staying home except for essential stuff.
My daughter and I saw a graphic that said folks in the Great Lakes area have been better about staying at home than any other area of the country. They used cell phone tracking to see how many miles people travelled in a day, on average.
Here is a link to an interesting article:

Your assignment today, how many miles have each of you travelled in the last month? Include family members. It needn’t be perfect, but if you normally go to school and back five times a week and now you walk 10 miles a week, it might be about equal. But, if parents commute and are in lockdown, their travel miles may have decreased dramatically.
I will try to compile a “before” and “after” total to help with overall comparisons. Perhaps you’ve seen pictures of the Himalayas or Los Angeles now that the air is clearer. Science and particularly big data science will be playing a role in our knowledge of our neighborhood and our planet.
Thank you,
Stay healthy and Stay Breezy!
T. Brown
