Computer Science Week 4

Good morning (or afternoon) and welcome to computer science. I hope you are all doing well, or as well as possible under trying circumstances.

This week we will try to meet up using iLearn’s Big Blue Button. I don’t know how it all works just yet, but we shall give it a go.

First hour meets Monday at 1:00 p.m.

Sixth hour meets Tuesday at 2:20 p.m.

Please show up for your hour only. Do not share the code or invite anybody else.

The enrollment code for the iLearn for DHS computer science is: k7kc7s. This is for both hours, but please only click on the Big Blue Button session for your hour. Go to the iLearn website for this course (https://moodle.dearbornschools.org/course/view.php?id=4368)

then join the video chat

The iLearn for this course is in its infancy. Only the Big Blue Button has been assigned to it. So, don’t think you’re missing a bunch of info. It’s all about code.org in this class.

Speaking of code.org...this week’s assignment is Unit 5: Lesson 9 If-Else-If and Conditional Logic. It is due Friday by 10 a.m. If you haven’t done lessons 5-8 you need to catch up to get a good grade. Many of you are behind. This will be unfortunate when June rolls around and you have a bunch of questions. So, please try to keep up every week. It should take about two hours per week for the average student to complete the work. Some of you will finish much more quickly, some may take longer. That’s okay. Just keep plugging along.

The Remind code is tbreezycsp.

I will send this information in e-mail and post a link to this in Remind.

Thank you and stay breezy.
