Good morning, we’ve made it through the first week of the rest of our semester of learning and I think it went really well. I appreciate all of you who showed up and did what you were supposed to do. WE WILL NOT MEET VIA GOOGLE MEETING on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I will still provide your 2 assignments by the afternoon on Sunday and, you will still be required to turn those in next week. So, in lieu of the video check in, you are required to send me an email on Monday or Tuesday. Hopefully, we will be able to resume our video check ins on Wednesday of next week. Good morning, here is some clarification regarding the number of times you need to be present for a video meeting. You are required to be present on Monday or Tuesday however, if you turn in your assignment or send an email, this will count for the second meeting scheduled for the week and there is no need to join the check in.

Also, still working through enabling assignments to be submitted in GC. Be patient, I’m an old dog trying to learn a new trick and it’s not easy.

Good morning, I am still getting quite a few emails requesting the assignments for this week. They were posted on Sunday for the week in Google Classroom. Please make sure you have added yourself with the correct class code. If you have, your assignments are there.

So far, this week’s check ins have been pretty smooth however, there are still many who have not checked in on the first day. Please make every attempt to sign in at time I have specified:

1st hour M/W: 1-1:30 4th hour T/TH: 1-1:30

2nd hour M/W: 1:45-2:15 5th hour T/TH: 1:45-2:15

3rd hour M/W: 2:30-3:00

Good morning, yesterday’s video check in went surprisingly well for the first time however, I’m still recieving questions regarding days and times as well as what your requirements are. Hopefully, I can clear up some confusion. The first thing is, you should be checking your email and my blog on a daily basis; more than one time daily as plans sometimes change. The schedule is as follows: Hours 1, 2 and 3 meet on M/W and hours 4 and 5 meet on T/TH. Hours 1 and 4 meet at 1:00 pm, hours 2 and 5 meet at 1:45 and 3rd hour meets at 2:30. You are required to check in both of your assigned days each week. Attendance is taken and will count so please make every attempt to be present.

THE LINK TO ACCESS GOOGLE MEET IS IN YOUR ASSIGNMENTS IN GOOGLE CLASSROOM. If you click on the link are unable to join, it most likely is because I’m not available yet. I will make myself available 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Please make every attempt to be prompt so others don’t have to wait to start.

Good morning, hope all is well. Today, beginning at 1:00 pm, hours 1-3 will be expected to meet with me via google meet. You should see a video link in Google Classroom and, hopefully, all you’ll have to do is click on it and we will be off to the races. Tomorrow, I will meet with hours 4, 5 beginning at 1:00 pm. Your assignments for the week were posted yesterday and, regardless if we are able to connect via video or not, are due on Friday, 4/24 by 10:00 am.

Good afternoon, hope all is well with everyone. Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of the semester. For seniors, you have about 4 weeks left and for the rest, approximately 7 weeks. During this time, you will be required to submit 2 assignments/week and check in with me twice during the week. Tomorrow is the first check in for periods 1,2,3 and Tuesday is for 4th and 5th hours. I will attempt a video check in beginning at 1:00 pm tomorrow for 1st hour and 1:45 and 2:30 for 2nd and 3rd hours. If for some reason this doesn’t work (this is brand new to me), I will email your class with additional instructions. Each class should have a video link on Google classroom and very possibly in your google calendar.

Regardless of whether the video check in is successful or not, you still are able to access all assignments for the week and submit. I will eventually get the video part working, if it isn’t already…time will tell. If you have any questions, please email me. Otherwise, stay safe and be smart.

Good afternoon, hopefully you haven’t put your snow shovels away for the year because it’s coming!! Tomorrow between 1-3″ is forecast during the day. That’s the bad new. The good news is (for some), there is finally a plan in place for continued learning through the middle of June. I have explained this somewhat in and email to students and parents and have sent a separate email with the Google Classroom code for your particular hour. Please be sure to check in with me by tomorrow so I know you are on board; a simple “I’m here” will suffice. If there are issues with internet or devices at home, you must let me know so that other arrangements for work can be determined. I look forward to hearing from those who have not done so. Good morning

It looks like it’s going to be a nice day so, let’s get this next, short assignment done and submitted so you can enjoy some fresh air. I’ve assigned questions pertaining to the band saw, all information you should know. Please answer the questions and submit to me by tomorrow, 4/15. If you are having any problems recalling some information, try reaching out to a friend for help. In fact, feel free to complete it with the help of a friend/classmate.

On a different note, some of you have inquired about being able to get into the school to retrieve some items/projects you have in the shop. I believe this will be possible in the coming months but, I’m not sure, at this point, when that will be. I hope to have more information for you in the coming weeks.
