AS OF 2021 THERE ARE NEW UPDATES TO THE RULES FOR SPANISH NHS.

• In order to be a member of Edsel Ford’s Primera Familia Chapter of the SHH —  Spanish NHS — you must:
  • Be an active member.
  • Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.  Attendance will be taken.  Only valid excused absences will be accepted.
  • Complete the community service requirement(s).  Community Service logs are kept to record participation.
  • Participate in any chapter fundraisers.  Fundraiser logs are kept to record participation.
  • If any of the above are not fulfilled you may be removed from Edsel Ford’s Primera Famila Chapter of the SHH — Spanish NHS.

  ONLY FOR NEW MEMBERS seeking induction to Edsel Ford’s Primera Familia Chapter of the SHH — Spanish NHS:

  • YOU MUST FULFILL ALL OF THE ABOVE (All that is expected from current members).
  • You must be enrolled in Spanish 4 — here at Edsel Ford.
  • You must be a junior or a senior.
  • Have at least 4 semesters of an A  in High School Spanish.
  • If you only have 3 semesters of an A in High School Spanish you will need to submit TWO letters of recommendation.
  • If you feel you do not meet the requirements, but would like to be inducted as an Honorary Member please see Señora Chávez.
  • Print and Complete the Student Profile (you will need to complete this) and ATTACH a copy of your TRANSCRIPT.  Transcript must include CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR grades.
  • Print the Teacher Recommendation form and ask an academic teacher to complete and turn in by the due date.
