Good afternoon! I hope that you are all staying healthy and safe. I’m sure that you have many questions about what will happen with school after Spring Break. First, I would like to tell you how sad I am that I will not be able to see each of your kids in person for the rest of the school year. Yesterday, during the Governor’s press conference, was the first time I’ve shed tears about any of this since all of this craziness started. I know that you you have been working hard at home, though, and I am so proud of you for that. I can’t imagine how it must be to have all of this thrown on you. Thank you very much for your support and for making your kids continue on in their educational journey even though they are not going to school everyday.
After Spring Break, we will continue to do school work virtually. The first grade team and I have created a Google Classroom where all of the assignments and links will be located. Some of the assignments will be turned in online through Google Classroom and some will need to be completed on paper or in their books. For those assignments not directly turned in through Google Classroom, we are just asking you to send a picture through ClassDojo of your child’s work. We are working on making sure all of the links are working and will send you the login information, as well as videos showing you what to do, next Thursday. I’d like for you to try to logon and make sure everything is working so that I can make any changes or fix things prior to Monday when school resumes.
You are all so amazing and I want you to know how much I appreciate all of you. I hope that you have a good break from all of this and stay healthy. Take care!!
