Hey guys! I am super excited to announce that we got a response from an activist and contributor to the anti-nuclear weapons website that was created in the memory of Sadako Sasaki: 

Dear Students in Dearborn, Michigan,

I am writing on behalf of Kathleen Sullivan, myself and the entire Hibakusha Stories team.

Thank you for your heartfelt letters about Sadako Sasaki. We have collected them and are doing a little editing so they are easier to read and as soon as we do that we will send them to Sadako’s brother, Clifton Truman Daniel who is the grandson of US President Harry Truman, the man who ordered the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and to 10 atomic bomb survivors who are close friends and tireless peace activists. Clifton and the rest of us, are all working to see that nuclear weapons are never used again.

We are certain your letters will touch their hearts.

There are many of us in the United States who work tirelessly for peace, and peace in Yemen is very important to us. I am sorry for the suffering in your country and I wish you all good things for a future of peace.
