I hope all of you had a restful break and a happy new year! 2019 is off to a great start! A few announcements for the upcoming month:
Thursday, January 10th – Begin NWEA testing for reading. We will continue testing throughout the next few weeks. Students will be taking the reading, language, math, and science NWEA tests. Some parents have been asking what they can do at home to support their student’s in testing so here are a few recommendations to help your child at home:
- read with them every night and ask them to tell you about what they read, to discuss any words that were unfamiliar to them, or to summarize the story.
- have them go on to https://www.ixl.com/ on this website they can practice math, reading, and language skills.
- pick a science topic that we’ve discussed this year and have them research it
- multiplication and division flashcards
