A very heartfelt “thank you” to everyone who contributed to making our teachers and staff feel so special and loved during Teacher Appreciation Week.  From the time you gave, to the food and supply donations, to the special little touches you and your children put into saying “thank you,” we are so thankful to our Lindbergh families!A special recognition to Danielle Lewis, our wonderful PTA mother-VP, who organized the week and ran everything beautifully; she is a true asset to our school community.

Pen Pal Field Trip

May 7th, 2019 / / categories: Class News /

A permission slip and information sheet went home yesterday for our pen pal field trip on Tuesday, May 28th from 9:15 – 2:30.  The students will be traveling by bus with their pen pals from Howard.  Chaperones will have to drive separtely due to space on the bus.  The cost is $14.00 cash ($9 tour plus $5 bus = $14).  Students will need to bring a sack lunch and beverage.  Snacks are also available on the boat, but it is a little pricey.  We will be leaving out of Bishop Park.  We will eat lunch in the park and then board the boat, after the students will have time to play in the park.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me @ bushl@dearbornschools.org  or (313) 827-6300.

*This is only Mrs. Bush’s fifth grade going on this trip from Lindbergh.*

Luncheon Coverage:
(11am – Thursday, May 9th – Media Center)
My plan for the parents arriving to cover is as follows:
* Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled lunch to allow for sign in and delays.
*The parent will go to the classroom for instruction from you as to whether they are taking the students to lunch or outside.
*I requested 3 volunteers per class, minimum 2.
(I want this to go as smoothly as possible for all of you to enjoy your lunches.)
*You will then have a complete hour to eat.
*Your parents will bring the students back to the classroom, allowing an additional 10-15 minute grace period after your hour lunch for your return/their departure.
This covers all of our teachers.  If you are a Specials teacher, I plan for you to have an hour as well.  Please let me know if this doesn’t work for you guys, or if I have forgotten anything or you spot an error.
Example:
Lunch Period 11:06-11:44
Teacher Lunch 11:06-12:06
