Many parents have returned their student’s dietary restrictions sheet with concerns about the food being served.  Camp Tamarack has a kosher food service.  No outside food can be brought into the dining hall.  If your child has an allergy, please send in the dietary restrictions sheet and we will make sure that it is passed on to the camp.  We will make sure that students with allergies are introduced to the serving staff. If your student has dietary restrictions that require they do not consume certain foods for reasons other than allergies, please be sure that they know what their restrictions might entail before they leave for camp.  The students will be in charge of making sure they are following these dietary rules. Each meal served also has a vegetarian option.  The food is actually quite good and students in the past have had no problem finding plenty to eat in the dining hall, regardless of allergies and/or dietary restrictions.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 313-827-6300 or bushl@dearbornschools.org
