Week of 12/9/2019 Spelling Words: Multisyllabic words – il, el
The spelling words of the week. The students will have it copied down in their planner tomorrow. Make sure to practice this week!
Explanation: Many multi syllabic words end with one of the spellings al, el, il, or ol. Two of these are easy to handle from a perspective of making a perfect pronunciation. Simply rhyme words like cancel with bell, and rhyme words like stencil with bill.
