Health Care

The Henry Ford Early College program is specifically for students interested in entering the health care profession.

HFEC allows students to become acquainted in several health care careers by attending Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

9th & 10th graders have rotations in various areas and gain experience by providing services to patients, families, visitors and staff. They have exposure to individual participation and responsibilities in the real world of health care services and actively participate in a series of educational seminars regarding the total hospital community. Students also participate in clinical intensives (job shadowing) in 10th grade.

Advanced Manufacturing

The history of Michigan has always been, and continues to be, tied to the manufacturing of products. A global economy, technology, and the demand for new types of goods has changed the manufacturing process and the skills needed by those working in the field. Today’s workforce needs to be well educated, problem solvers, capable of being PI team, and have the ability to take on a variety of assignments.

We provide students with the opportunity to learn experience, and achieve the level of education required, not just to get a job, but to start a career in the new technology or manufacturing field. Starting in the ninth grade and ending in grade thirteen, students will be able to complete six years of education in only five years. Students can earn both a high school diploma and a two year college degree or earn a – as that could lead to immediate employment. All of this is provided at little or no cost to students or parents!

ON the LINE

Students at Bryant participated in an assembly this week from the Michigan Attorney General’s office.  The program is called OK2SAY.

The program focused on the different forms of bullying that can occur.  One such area was on Cyberbullying.   It reinforced the idea that students (and adults) need to focus on making positive statements  both online and in person.

The enrichment class created a school-wide Advisory activity to reinforce this message in the main lobby.
