DCMST Freshman application & selection process 2021
Dear Algebra students:
On behalf of the DCMST staff, I am sharing the following information:
- Applications for current Dearborn Public School students and out-of-district students are available on our website/blog (deadline to apply is March 12, 2021)
- Applications are open to all students who will successfully complete Algebra 1 by June 2020
- Students will be selected based on available standardized test scores (NWEA, Algebra 1 Sem 1 CA) and GPA
Just a reminder, to be eligible, 8th grade students must be taking Algebra 1 currently, have earned a 78% or higher on Semester 1 Common Assessment and successful completion of Algebra 1 by the end of 8th grade.
Attached is a short video explaining what DCMST is all about. We hope that all 8th grade Algebra 1 teachers can take some time during their class before February 17th to show this video to all of their Algebra 1 students.
Then, there will be an open Q and A session Zoom during student Learning Lab time on Thursday, February 18th at 2 p.m. The link to the session will be posted on the DCMST website.
There will also be an informational Zoom session for parents of eligible students on February 10th at 7 PM. This link is below as well as on the DCMST website.
