Bryant Choir Concert for Music Connections/Encore
Concert for a Cause!

Date: Wednesday, May 22, 2019
Place: Bryant Middle School Auditorium
Time: 7:00 pm Concert , 6:20 call time for choir members. Meeting place BAND room.

Dress Code: Black dress pants, black long sleeve shirt, black shoes, black socks

Grading: The concert is a summative grade for card marking 4. Peforming in the concert is a requirement. This grade cannot be made up.

Concert Theme: This concert will be a “Concert for a Cause.” All proceeds will be donated to the charitable organization the students choose.

Cost: Tickets will be $2 for individual tickets. $10 for 6 tickets. 5 years and under, no ticket required.

All parents, families and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend. It is a wonderful opportunity to hear our students sing as well as help them support a charitable children’s organization.

Hello! Singers who signed up to sing:  We meet AT Dearborn High in the Dearborn High Auditorium Lobby.  The lobby is the door closest to the parking lot.  Please arrive at 6:10 pm so we can begin rehearsing at 6:15 pm.  Concert begins at 7.  Parent tickets are $5 and proceeds go towards Dearborn High School Choir.

Greetings Encore singers! Solo and Ensemble Festival is this Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Monroe Middle School in Monroe.  Our performance time is 11:45 am .  You will need to arrive by 10:45 am to check in and warm up together.   Please wear all black – black dress pants, and black long sleeve top for this performance.

I will pass out a sheet with final details at our rehearsal on Tuesday, Feb. 5

We are counting on all of you to be there for this festival experience!  If you have not paid the $10 for the festival, please bring it on Tuesday to rehearsal.

Our rehearsal is from 3:00-4:30 this Tuesday, Febuary 5.

It’s a beautiful night for Holiday Nights!  Make sure you still dress warmly for being outside for a long period of time.  Meet you all at 5:45 pm SHARP at the fountain! A reminder Guests are not allowed in until 6:30 pm.  If you are running late, I will have Mrs. Gass wait at the fountain until 6:10 pm for any late arrivals.  Be sure to have a good dinner today and bring a little cash for some treats!

Greetings! For students who signed up to sing at Holiday Nights on Sunday, December 16, following is the information for Sunday.  I have passed out this very same sheet to the students with their guest wristband.  Please be sure to ask your child for the wristband.  Singers will receive their own wristband on Sunday. Students MUST bring and adult with them.

Bryant  Choir Greenfield Village Holiday Night Final Update

Date:  Sunday, December 16, 2018

Meeting:  5:45 pm at the Josephine Ford Fountain at the entrance to Greenfield Village. Parents are responsible to drive students to and from this event.  Each student is required to have an adult present at the Village.

• Attached to this paper is the wristband for your guest/parent/adult. One wristband only per singer. (singers will receive their wristbands Sunday night)
• Check the Bryant Choirs blog for any updates on Sunday,December 16. https://iblog.dearbornschools.org/bryantchoirs/
• Dress for the weather(warm coats, mittens, umbrellas, etc.)  This program happens in all weather conditions.
• Be on Time! 5:45 pm.
• Only participants, directors and designated chaperones will be allowed to enter early.All guests of participants (even those with wristbands) will need to enter when the gates open at 6:30pm.
• Volunteer musical groups are in 2 locations this year: Ford Motor Company on Main St. and near the Ice Rink at Washington Blvd. and Junction St.   Both locations are well lit with lots of foot traffic.
• We will sing for 20 min and break for 20 min throughout the evening.
• During breaks, students must be with their parent/adult. Groups of friends and parents are welcome to stay together.
• We will finish approximately 9:30 pm. You MUST check out with Ms. Pegouske before leaving with your adult.

Please remember you represent Bryant Middle School and Dearborn Public Schools .  Please show your Eagle pride and be polite, respectful and kind at all times!

I am very proud of all of you for a great performance at the concert!  You received MANY, many compliments as well!  Job well done!

The Vocal and Instrumental Music Concert is this Thursday , Dec. 13. Please have students arrive at 6:30 pm to their assigned locations in their correct concert attire.

Greetings! Following are updates regarding our upcoming concerts.  Your child will be bringing home a hard copy of this information this week. Please read it entirely.  We are looking forward to singing for everyone soon!

Bryant Choir and Encore Upcoming Concerts!

 

• Thursday, December 13, 2018  7:00 pm in the Auditorium – Mandatory Concert

This concert counts as a grade.  Please make sure you are present.

Call time :  6:15 pm –  meeting location TBD

Dress code: Black dress pants/long black skirt, black long sleeve top, black shoes.

End time:  approximately 8:15 pm.

            

• Sunday December 16 – Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village! – optional performance. (It is very fun!)

Bryant Choir and Encore Choir will be singing for Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village.  This is a fantastic event!

Call time:  6:00 pm at the Josephine Fountain. End time approximately 9:30 pm.

Dress code:  Dress very warm and for the weather! We will be outside. Winter coats, hats, gloves etc.

We are limited to 40 singers for this event.  Your child will bring home a commitment sheet this week– the first 40 students to turn in the sheet will be singing for this event.  Please turn in your sheet as soon as possible.

Each singer will receive ONE complimentary wristband for the event. If you have turned in your sheet and are attending –  If you wish purchase additional tickets to see the choir perform, you must purchase ahead of time either on the website https://www.thehenryford.org/current-events/calendar/holiday-nights-in-greenfield-village/ or by calling 313-982-6220. In the event that the evening is sold out, Henry Ford will not be able to accommodate additional tickets, so please be aware of this.
