Bryant Middle School Athletics

Sideline cheer is oficially cancelled for the 2020-2021 school year.

Competitive cheer is still a possibility; however, we have no details about it at this time.

Updates will be provided as soon as information becomes available.

Volleyball and football will not start in the fall. A new sports schedule is being constructed, with boys basketball and girls swimming being the first two sports of the year. Volleyball ands football are tentatively rescheduled for the spring.

We have no information regarding fall sports at this time, but we encourage all Bryant 8th graders that are planning to attend DHS to contact Jeff Conway, the athletic director for information. If you will be at Bryant next year, stay tuned for more information as we get it.

Information regarding football, volleyball, and cheer will be posted here as soon as it is available. Remember that participation in any sport requires an athletic physical completed by a physician before the first tryout date. The physical will be valid for any sport in the 2020-2021 academic year if it is dated AFTER 4-15-20.

Thursday 3-12-20 @ Lowery: WIN for JV 33-32; LOSS for VARSITY 33-49

Boys Swim:

Wednesday 3-11-20 vs Woodworth: WIN; 106-48

Bryant Majorettes!  If you are going to be in 7th, 8th or 9th grade next year and are interested in being a baton twirler next year, there will be a brief informational meeting after school this Wednesday, March 11th, in the cafeteria.  If you can’t make the meeting and want more information, see Mrs. Furlough as soon as possible.  Bryant Twirlers will practice this Spring with the Dearborn High Twirlers.  Also, anyone who is interested in being in the Color Guard at Dearborn High next year should see Mrs. Furlow.

• The high school coaches want to promote wrestling and their programs by running this week of practices and the tournament. 

• Practices will be held at all 3 high schools the week of March 23-27 (Monday – Thursday) with Friday being a tournament at Dearborn High.

Reminder: MANDATORY Spring Sports Meeting (teach/soccer) is scheduled for Thursday, March 19 at 3:05 pm in the Bryant auditorium!

MANDATORY Informational Meeting:

-Student MUST attend this meeting or you will not be allowed to tryout for either sport (parents are also welcome).

-Thursday, March 19 at 3:05 pm in the Bryant auditorium.

-Registration must be complete and athletic physical must be done and turned in by Friday, March 27; this will be explained at the meeting.
