Bryant Middle School Athletics

You MUST have a MHSAA athletic physical to tryout for swim. Physicals can be given to either Mr. Blake (Room 12) or Ms., Duquette (Room 37). If you turned in a physical for volleyball, you are all set.

Tryouts will be 

8th Grade – Monday, October 30th 3:30 – 4:30

7th Grade – Wednesday, November 1st 3:30 – 4:30

6th Grade – Thursday, November 2nd 3:30 – 4:30

Please bring a great attitude and all the necessary equipment for swimming (suit, cap, goggles and towel).

Volleyball tryouts for 8th grade students will be today. Tuesday, from 3:30-5:30.

Volleyball tryouts for 6th and 7th grade students will be Wednesday from 3:30-5:30.

All students trying out must have a current completed MHSAA physical turned in.

Eighth grade volleyball tryouts are on Tuesday from 3:30- 5:30. Students interested in volleyball MUST have a completed physical. Physicals should be given to Ms. Duquette in room 37.

Sixth grade and 7th grade tryouts will be at a later date next week.

Students interested in volleyball, please complete the following : VOLLEYBALL SURVEY Please be sure you are on a Dearborn Schools Gmail account to complete the survey.

Remember to participate in any sport in Middle School you must have a current completed athletic physical. Please see the office for a MHSAA Physical form. Complete physicals can be given to Ms. Duquette in room 37 or Mr. Blake in room 21. Physicals can also be placed in Ms. Duquette’s or Mr. Blake’s office mailbox.

The physical has many sections to it. Please review the physical to make sure ALL sections are completed.

Football conditioning will be held in the Bryant Gym today, August 17th. Please enter the doors by the parking lot. Bring gym shoes NOT CLEATS and a water bottle. Parents, please pick up athletes at 5:00.

Athletic physicals are needed to participate.

As the start of the school year inches ever closer, I wanted to share a couple reminders. All students will need a new physical. Any student wishing to try out for a sport will need a physical on file before being allowed to try out, with no exceptions. A Sports Physical is not the same as a general physical or the vaccine form you turn in to the office. Last year’s physicals expired after April 15th.

The good news is that you do not have to wait until a particular season begins to turn in your physical, you can do it as soon as you are able so that your physical is already on file and you are ready to play.

Boy’s Football starts this Wednesday. Anyone wishing to participate in conditioning will need to bring a physical with them to participate. For more information on Football please see the post from earlier this month.
