Bryant Middle School Athletics

Boys interested in trying out for boys swimming must have a current MHSAA athletic physical before trying out.  Physicals should be placed in the athletic director mailbox in the Bryant office.  Students should  complete the 2026 Boys Swimming prior to tryouts. Students must use their Dearborn Google Account to access the registration.  Tryouts will be the week of January 20th. Please listen to the morning announcements for more information.

Girls interested in girls basketball must have a current MHSAA athletic physical before trying out.  Physicals should be placed in the athletic director mailbox in the Bryant office.  Students should  complete the registration:  2026 Girls Basketball prior to tryouts.  Students must use their Dearborn Google Account to access the registration. All girls interested in sideline cheer for basketball there will be tryouts on November 3rd from 3:30-5:15. You must have a MHSAA athletic physical to participate. See Mrs. Doner if you have any questions.

Basketball tryouts will be as follows:

8th Grade – Monday, October 27 from 3:30-5:30

7th Grade – Tuesday, October 28 from 3:30-5:30

6th Grade – Wednesday, October 29 from 3:30-5:30

Callbacks will be Thursday, October 30

All students trying out for boys basketball must have a current MHSAA athletic physical. Physicals can be turned into the Athletic Director mailbox in the Bryant Middle School main office. Students who played football do not need to complete another physical. All students must have above a 2.0 grade point. Grade point will be calculated using the first report card grades.

Students must fill out the Basketball Registration using your Dearborn Google Account. before your tryout.

Students musts use their Dearborn Google Account to register.

Girl Swimming Tryouts 

The requirements for swimming tryouts are as follows:

1) MHSAA sports physical – If you have a sports physical completed this year for volleyball or cheer, you do not need another sports physical.  Turn in completed phyiscals to Ms. Duquette in room 37.

2) Register on Bryant’s Athletic Blog – Register BEFORE the tryout date.

3) Wear an appropriate bathing suit (Goggles and caps are suggested but optional for tryouts.)

4) Complete a 50 yard swim (Fifty yards is down and back in Bryant’s pool)
