Monday 9/02/19. No school, labor day.

Enjoy your long weekend.

Geo science week of May 20 2019

Monday 5/20/19  Students will continue their timeline of the Cenozoic Ear.  Students will take notes on The Pliocene and Pleistocene periods then color pictures representing those periods

(this is a summative project and students do have a rubric for expectations).

Wednesday 5/22/19  Students will complete their time line project.  Students will turn in their ISN for grading. I am checking on the notes they took for our Geological time scale unit.

Thursday 5/23/19  Ms. Nowack will be career cruising with all classes

Geo-science week of April 29

Monday 4/29/19  Students will be introduces to our new topic “geologic time” by doing Cornell notes on Chapter 23 sections 1 and 2

Tuesday 4/30/19  8th grade field trip to Greenfield village

Wednesday 5/1/19  Begin lecture on time scales.  Eons, eras epochs and periods and what they mean to geologic time scales.

Thursday 5/2/19  Finish lecture on geologic time scales and begin lecture on the Cambrian period of the Paleozoic Era

Friday 5/3/19  Students will begin working on a group project developing a time line of the geologic time scale.  Students will get pictures of the life on Earth at that time and color them.  They will also research 2 facts that they can include in their time line about the Cambrian period.  This will be an on going project for this unit.  The timeline will be a summative grade.

Geo-science week of 4/22/19
