Monday 9/16/19 I am not feeling well today so I had amended my plans this week. Students are working on annotated and then writing a summary on a mine craft article.
Tuesday 9/17/19
For the rest of the week students will: Students explore the importance of clearly defining the criteria and constraints in order to have a successful solution. By clearly defining the criteria and constraints, the solution you arrive at is more likely to be successful. When these criteria and constraints are poorly defined it is more likely the solution will not actually address the problem, fail to meet the needs of the stakeholders, or be less successful than other potential solutions.
Today students will be making paper towers to test their criteria and constraints as a solution to a problem.
Wednesday 9/18/19 Students will look at the criteria and constraints between two bridges and we will discuss the good and the bad.
Thursday 9/19/19 Students will look at an engineering flaw and then redesign the engineering flaw using new constraints and criteria to solve the problem.
Friday 9/20/19 Half day As class, students will review this weeks lesson on defining and redifining good criteria to solve the constraints of a solution
