Can you believe it’s time for teachers to begin thinking about wrapping up the school year? Whallah- I am not ready for this announcement 🙁
If you know of a child who will be 4 years old by December 1, 2020 they may be eligible for our GSRP PreK program in the fall. Parents of children who are age eligible are welcome to fill out the interest form at the link below. Preschool teachers will be setting up meetings with potential families once we get back into the buildings.
Children leaving our Preschool classroom will automatically be enrolled at River Oaks next year. Parents will need to take their child to the doctor for a new school physical and immunization record. New physical forms/immunization records will be given to Ms. Debbie in the River Oaks office to complete your Y5/kindergarten registration file.
If you are planning to move or enroll your child in another school- please let me know. I want to make sure your child’s file is sent to the right location.
Here is the link to what was uploaded last week. Take a look at the projects that Noah, Alya, Madina, Omar, Hadi and Adam made.

Obviously I’ve gotten my days all confused this week! A few hours ago you were sent an email about tomorrow’s activities. Well, duh- Ms. Bass….today is NOT Wednesday, it’s Thursday…therefore tomorrow is Friday, not Thursday!
Friday’s are days for kids to chill, redo activities from earlier in the week or catch up if something was missed. The emailed activities were suppose to be for Monday. I had kids making playdough. If you already told your child that you were making playdough tomorrow, go ahead- the recipe is below. If you didn’t say anything to your child about it- make the playdough on Monday…and ignore my mix up!
Playdough Recipe:
Ingredients:
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and stir. Cook over low heat, stirring until a ball forms. Cool on aluminum foil. Store in a container with a lid or a ziploc bag.
My apologies- I be back to normal soon…hopefully! and what exactly is “normal” anyway!

Thank you for your patience if you did a virtual meeting with Ms. Bass or Ms. Aldafaii today. The What’s App took me a minute to figure out, but I think we did.

After calling everyone this week, it seems the kids are all missing each other. I would like to put together a few ideas on how we can meet up “virtually.” We could use use FaceTime or the What’s App for a virtual meeting spot. Who is interested in joining in?
