  • Take home bags- are still available to children. It has been to difficult for me to manage the check out process at the end of the day- it’s too hectic of a time to manage this. So, if you would like to check out a bag for the evening, please see me at drop off time in the morning. I will show you my check out system and you can choose the bag you would like to take.
  • Mid- Year assessments- are completed. A copy of your child’s is in their mailboxes. Please take them on Monday. I am planning to go over the growth at our next conference!
  • Parent Teacher Conferences are held at school on March 12 and 19th. The sign up sheet will be ready Monday for you to choose a conference time. There is no school for PreK children on parent teacher conference days because teachers will be conferencing with parents.
  • COR Reports- Ms. Aldafaii and I just finished up the Child Observation Records (COR)- the collection of notes sent to you on Sundays. Wash It, Wash It….

Germs clipart

Over Mid-Winter break, please take the time to wash jackets, mittens, hats, scarves, snow pants, and your child’s backpack. Germs are lurking everywhere (ESPECIALLY THOSE MITTENS) and ready to make children sick! Flu season is here, lets try to keep it away from our classroom….and your homes too!

Thank you to the moms who took things home to wash! Tomorrow I will be at school washing cubbies, blanket boxes, mitten boxes and classroom shelves- praying that I can get things sanitized before kids are back to school! Ohhhh- I will also be finalizing mid- year testing scores/notes! A hint…LOTS and LOTS of growth! Most kids doubled their scores- can’t wait to share results with you at our next parent meeting Thurs, February 27th…

Have a great break! See you on Monday, February 24th!

Laundry Help Needed!

I am headed out to visit my family tomorrow after school and all next week- and will not be able to take home the classroom laundry.

Can anyone help me out? I need the “borrow” snow pants, gloves, hats washed. The snow pants will need to air dry, but everything else can be put in the dryer.

Reply to this message and I can gather it up for you to grab at pick up time!

Thank You!

100ish Day of School

River Oaks is celebrating their 100th day of school on Thursday, February 6th. To celebrate, elementary students (and teachers) will come to school dressed as if they are 100 years old. PreK “technically” hasn’t yet had our 100th day of school….but lets join them for a fun, dress up day!

Dress your child like a 100 year old person on Thursday! Can you imagine how cute our little bitty kids will be?

A picture for inspiration….google “kids dressed as old people” for more cute pictures/ideas!
