How Can My Students Enter? What Will They Win?
Entering is simple!
Encourage your students to register for the challenge at YoungScientistChallenge.com and submit a 1-2 minute YouTube video describing a new invention or solution to improve an everyday problem. Submit videos by April 20, 2016. Students will be evaluated on their scientific knowledge, creativity, and effective communication skills. The top 10 finalists will participate in an exclusive summer mentorship with a 3M Scientist, and travel to 3M’s World Headquarters in St. Paul, MN this October to compete for $25,000 and the title of America’s Top Young Scientist! Up to 51 State Merit Winners will also be recognized and win a 3M technology prize pack.

Our Pizza Kit Fundraiser ends on 1/27. The student who sells the most kits will receive a $25 gift certificate to the book fair. The class with the most kits sold will win a $50 gift certificate to the book fair.

We will also need help sorting and distributing the kits on 2/5 at 1:30pm. Please consider helping out. Thanks much!

Don’t forget that you have your 2014-15 M-Step scores with you today. Please share them with your parents. You can keep the papers at home, but remember to have your parents sign the envelope and then bring it back to school.

YAY!!! We are done with NWEA testing!!! When the score and goal setting sheets are made available to me by the site I will be printing them. Then we can meet to discuss your progress and set some new personal goals!!

Pizza Kit Distribution
Our Little Ceasers Pizza Kit Fundraiser will run from Jan 8- Jan 27. It is a great fundraiser with many kits to pass out. We will need help sorting and distributing pizza kits on Friday, February 5th at 1:30 pm. Thanks for your continued support!!
