Science Update

In our Mystery this week, “What would happen if you drank a glass of acid?”, students investigated different ways to test for acids. They discovered that many common foods contain acid, including orange juice, ketchup, and salad dressing!

You can support your child’s curiosity at home. Look at the ingredient lists on labeled foods in your pantry and refrigerator. Which ones contain acids? You may find that acids such as acetic acid (vinegar), citric acid, and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) are common ingredients in many foods!

Math

We will be having a math test on Wednesday October 2nd. We will be going over a Module review as a class on Tuesday October 1st. To prepare for the test you should could be watching the videos that I have put links to on the right side of this blog page. You should also be sure you are up to date on Zearn. Remember, you are supposed to be doing AT LEAST 4 lessons a week. We learned math lesson 15 today in class. You need to get caught up if you are not almost done with the Module on Zearn. Zearn is a great study tool. You could also be reviewing the Homework Helper pages that are sent home each day. These should be in your binder. Happy studying!!!

Blue Ribbon School!!

Congratulations to our entire community! Charles A. Lindbergh Elementary School in Dearborn Public Schools has been designated an Exemplary High Performing Schools National Blue Ribbon School for 2019 by U. S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos. Our school is one of 362 schools in the nation and one of thirteen schools from Michigan to be recognized in 2019.
This is a huge accomplishment and one that we will continue to celebrate.
Congratulations again!
