PBiS Reward for Nov. Behavior

PBiS Reward Celebration
Wednesday, December 2nd

The November reward is playing games with friends. Students in grades K-2 may bring in board games from home, but please NO ELECTRONIC GAMES! Make sure to label the games with your child’s name. Also, only send in games that your child already knows how to play (suggestions include: checkers, chess, Memory, Connect 4, Sorry, Candyland, Uno, Jenga).

Students in grades 3-5 have received permission to bring in their “electronics” as their game choice. The older students are very excited about this privilege! Students may bring in DS games, iPods, MP3 players, tablets, etc. at their own risk. We expect that students will only be playing “school appropriate” games. Students who do not wish to bring in electronics may bring in board games.

Thank you.
Keep encouraging your child to follow “The Lindbergh Way!”

11/23

We will not be having a spelling list this week. If you really want to practice spelling then you can practice former lists or make up your own list!!

Don’t forget about our PTA doughnut/special snack party on Tuesday. Remember, if you do not want or cannot eat doughnuts you may bring in something else. Also, all are welcome to bring in their own drink. No glass bottles please.

PTA Reflections

2015-2016 Reflections Theme:
“Let Your Imagination Fly”
The PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in its annual Reflections Program. The program offers students in pre-school through grade 12 the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. It celebrates the many skills of our students and encourages them to pursue artistic expression.
The categories are:
Film/Video Production, Dance Choreography, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and Literature.
Due date for entries will be Monday, November 30th, 2015, so encourage your students to start thinking about their entries if they’re interested in participating (this is not a required program, but we love to see participation from all grade levels!).
Contact Amanda LeFranc, Reflections Chair, with questions.

I’m very excited about our DIA field trip on Nov. 20th. If you haven’t brought in your permission and money please remember to do it as soon as possible.

I hope everyone is hard at work on their mask book projects!! Don’t forget the due date is Nov. 23rd and you will be presenting your mask to the class on that day as well.

The entire class is studying space in science. The scope for each grade is different but we have much in common and can watch videos, read books, chart the moon, and sing songs together!! Get ready to sing the Phases of the Moon song!!

I’m excited that we are working on opinion pieces in writing! I can’t wait to see the thoughtfully written final products you will create!
