Thursday- Concert night!!!!!!!!
Tonight is the night!!!
***Students report to Room 204 between 7:00 and 7:05.
***The performance begins at 7:15.
Can’t wait to see you all there.
Science Experiments!!!!!!!!!
Please show your parents your science project materials tonight. Read over the directions with them several times before you start to be sure you understand the procedures. If you need help or have questions write them down so you can remember them for tomorrow.
*******Boards are due NO LATER than April 21st. Points will NOT be given for late boards.
**Fourth graders– If you wait too long to start your experiment your carnation will probably die and you will have to go buy another one. You probably should start as soon as you can.
**Fifth graders- The time frame for your experiment is seven days to grow bacteria followed by five days to test the cleaners. You will then need to finish your board. (Remember you can do quite a bit of the board while the experiment is going on.) You need to start this experiment right away so you will have time to finish. Saturday April 9th is really the last day you can start this experiment to have it done and finish your board by April 21st. (But…EEEKKKK…..that is cutting it really, really close.)
*******Remember that the experiment and board are worth 100 points. The presentation is another 50. If you want to earn all the points for this project make sure you spend time doing your best work. Although you are not required to come to the Science Boot Camp the science experiment, board and presentation ARE required for class.(Although you should come because it’s lots of fun!!)

M-Step Info.
Fifth graders will be taking Michigan’s required testing,
the M-Step, in the computer room this year. The on-line testing is required for all fifth graders attending a public school in Michigan. The fifth graders from our room will be taking the test during testing sessions with either Mrs. Bush’s or Mrs. Gardner’s class. The tests are supervised by the teachers and certain members of our school staff. The students will test for approx. an hour at a time and are scheduled for two test sessions per test day. Since the tests are not timed an accurate time period for how long each specific test will take for each student cannot be given.
M-Step Schedule
April 12- ELA Day 1
April 13- ELA Day 2
April 14- ELA Day 3
April 19- Math Day 1
April 20- Math Day 2
April 21- Social Studies(Only one day)
It is helpful if students get a full night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on test days. Also, please avoid being absent or tardy if possible. Students who miss a test will be given the test during a make-up session(s) that will be scheduled as needed and will be supervised by qualified school staff members.

Jump Rope for Heart
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART NEWS
I wanted to let everyone know that the Thank-You Prizes will be coming, but probably not until the 1st or 2nd week of April. I contacted the organization and it seems they are 4 to 6 weeks behind shipping, from the time they receive the paperwork (which was mailed March 3rd). I will pass-out the prizes to the students as soon as they arrive to Lindbergh. The plan also will be to a have an assembly April 13 to honor participants, recognize top fundraisers, and have a student jump rope exhibition (a fun closure for all the hard work raising $8200). Thanks again for your support and I appreciate your patience.
