Hi all! Happy Wednesday! I know we don’t usually have specials today but try to do some physical activity and practice your recorder/instrument. Also, Mo Willems, the illustrator of the Elephant and Piggy books and the Pigeon books is doing a Doodle Lunch live stream everyday. He is on the Kennedy Center’s website. It starts at 1:00. Here is a link to yesterday’s Doodle Lunch.
Leader In Me:
Not being in school or not being able to participate in our regular activities can sometimes make us sad or frustrated. What are some ways that we can “be the water,” or keep calm, even when we feel angry? Watch the video below. Talk to an adult about feelings you are having about this subject, write a journal entry to get your feelings out, email or text a friend, or email me to talk about how you are feeling.
Math-
Here are the answers for yesterday’s application problem, problem set and homework.

Our plan daily is to do the following in Math : Watch the video, do the Zearn lesson, then do your problem set and homework. We are always going to skip all Exit tickets. I want to use those when we come back. You would also do the application problem. Remind your parents these are usually review and do not go with the lesson of the day.

There is an assignment on google classroom that goes with this video.
Social Studies:
We are continuing with the Road to Revolution Unit. Please watch the Liberty’s Kids video. Think about the different points of views of the characters. Remember that Sarah is representing the views of the British and Loyalists, James is representing the views of Patriots, and Moses is representing the views of African-Americans at the time. Listen to Patrick Henry’s speech. Which viewpoint is he representing?

What do you think he meant by the statement, “Give me liberty or give me death?”
You are all doing a wonderful job! Keep up the hard work!
Since I know you have all been washing your hands…a lot…here is a funny video about washing hands in space. 🙂
