Thanks,
Mr. Denison
We will be having a Big Blue Button meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, at 1:00. I had to move the meeting because I have to go to Lindbergh to pack up student desks and lockers today. :-(. Big Blue Button can be accessed through our class iLearn. Don’t forget that as a part of the meeting we will discuss theme in literature and social studies. We will also have a meeting on Thursday at 1:00 because there is no school on Friday or Monday.
Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 5/4 – 5/15 please email me that you have turned it in. (This DOES NOT apply to students who are up to date with assignments.) Google classroom doesn’t notify me when you hand it in. This is not necessary for current assignments that were made this week 5/18 – 5/21. I will not be accepting work from the weeks of 4/20 and 4/27 unless there is a health or technology issue that you contact me about.
************Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Goeke, Mrs Ackerman, Mrs. Poisson, and Mr. Kwiecien have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on.************

Science
This week we are working with Mystery 5. Today, continue to watch the Mystery and play Big Fish. You will need the activity pages and scissors. The pages for the activity are on the Google Classroom assignment labeled Mystery 5. You will need to print them out. If you don’t have a printer, watch the video and look through the pages. First you do the activity on your own with the video, then you play with at least 1 other person, up to 4. Each player needs a Fish o Meter sheet and a Check the Pond sheet to play You also need 2 sets of cards total. Stop at step 22, when the game is over. We will do the wrap up and anchoring phenomenon connection tomorrow. ELA: We continue with our study of themes in literature. After you watch the video please go to Readworks and complete the assignment “The Grasshopper and the Ant.” If you did not complete yesterday’s assignment, “The Wise Choice,” then please do that today as well. When you are done you can go on to Raz Kids. Remember that you should be spending at least 15 minutes on Raz Kids per day.
Social Studies: We have seen what is going on in the New England and Middle areas of the new United States and the Ohio River Valley area. Meanwhile, Spain, also a long-time enemy of Great Britain’s had New Spain in the west. The governor of the Louisiana territory was Bernardo de Gálvez. He wanted to help the American cause. He sent large amounts of money, weapons, ammunition, and other supplies up the Mississippi River to American troops. That’s not all he did! Watch the video to find out more!! Then go to the assignment on Google Classroom, read the biography of Galves, then complete the assignment. If you did not do yesterday’s portion of the assignment then you will have to do that as well.
