Dear Parents,
If you have completed the survey to request a Chromebook, we will be distributing them on Monday, April 27 from 2pm-4pm outside the main entrance. To ensure we are safe guarding ourselves and those around us, please remember to come alone (leave the little ones at home), practice social distancing (we will have designated stand points on the ground), wear a mask and bring your own writing utensil. If you have not completed the survey, please click here SURVEY.
Stay Safe and Well! Thanks Ms. Tiba
Google Meet: Our Google Meet for today has been canceled as due to a temporary issue the district has asked us to refrain from having live meetings until further notice.
The district has had the Continuity of Learning Plan approved. It is important for parents/guardians to read it so you will know how things have changed since we first began remote learning. If you go to the elementary section it explains how grades will be done and what is expected of students for the rest of the year. You can see it here: https://dearbornschools.org/services/dearborn-public-schools-continuity-of-learning-plan/.
Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 3/16 – 4/17, please email me that you have turned it in. (This DOES NOT apply to students who are up to date with assignments.) Google classroom doesn’t notify me when you hand it in. This is not necessary for current assignments that were made this week, 4/20 – 4/24. The most important thing right now is to start completing the work from April 20 through the rest of the year.
Also, some assignments are created by me and some are created by Mrs. Stetz. You should be doing all of them. This is similar to what we did in school but you might not have been aware of it.
*********************Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Goeke, Mrs Ackerman, Mrs. Poisson, and Mr. Kwiecien have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on. Watch for Google meetings with these teachers!!************

Today we are working on completing any unfinished lessons. If all your lessons are done, complete any fluency, application problems, or sprints for review. You should also catch up on Zearn if necessary. First, I would like you to go to your assignments and do the one titled 5.5 Lesson 19 exit ticket. There are 2 questions for you to do. This is a new link to a site with exit tickets, so I am testing it out today.
Here are the links again to this week’ s videos:

Finish your quiz in Google Classroom by 3:30 if you did not complete it yet. The earlier the better so I can check it 🙂
ELA: You do not have a new reading assignment today. You should finish all assignments on Readworks including the Article of the Day assignment. If you are done you can read a choice book or work on Moby Max reading.
Writing: You do not have a new writing assignment today. You should finish all poetry writing assignments on Google Classroom. If you are done with those you can write extra poems, a narrative, a journal or something else you like to write.
Spelling: You should go on Spelling City and take the test.
Social Studies: With the fight over who will control New York City, which has a very important harbor, we go to the Battle of Long Island and the Battle of Kip’s Bay. The British hoped to control New York and the Hudson River so they could make it impossible for all the colonies to communicate with each other. Let’s see what happens…..
Now read this Ducksters article, do the quiz, and then complete the assignment on Google Classroom.
