The district has had the Continuity of Learning Plan approved. It is important for parents/guardians to read it so you will know how things have changed since we first began remote learning. If you go to the elementary section it explains how grades will be done and what is expected of students for the rest of the year. You can see it here: https://dearbornschools.org/services/dearborn-public-schools-continuity-of-learning-plan/.
We will be having a Google Meeting at 1:00 pm today! The link is at the top of my Google classroom. It is now right under the class code on the top with the flag background. The link won’t work until I start the meeting.
Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 3/16 – 4/17, please email me that you have turned it in. (This DOES NOT apply to students who are up to date with assignments.) Google classroom doesn’t notify me when you hand it in. This is not necessary for current assignments that were made this week, 4/20 – 4/24. The most important thing right now is to start completing the work from April 20 through the rest of the year.
Also, some assignments are created by me and some are created by Mrs. Stetz. You should be doing all of them. This is similar to what we did in school but you might not have been aware of it.
*********************Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Goeke, Mrs Ackerman, Mrs. Poisson, and Mr. Kwiecien have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on. Watch for Google meetings with these teachers!!************
Let’s start our Wednesday with a Knick Knacky Knocky Knoo!

This is the link to the Leader In Me Website as well: http://leaderinme.org/
ELA: We are continuing on with poetry week. There is a new assignment, “Casey at the Bat,” on Readworks for today. It is due tomorrow. If you didn’t finish Monday’s or Tuesday’s assignments then please work on those as well. They are “Spring Into Poetry” and “A Bird Came Down the Walk.”
Writing: Notice in “Casey at the Bat,” the poem is written in groups of four sentences or stanzas. Each group or stanza is called a quatrain. Also notice that the first two lines rhyme at the end and the last two lines rhyme at the end. In an assignment on Google Classroom, you try writing a poem with four lines, in which the first two rhyme and the second two rhyme.
Spelling: Don’t forget that you have assignments to complete on Spelling City. You should practice the words because we will be having a test this week on Friday.
Social Studies: The Declaration of Independence is a world changing document so we will continue to talk about it today. Watch the new video below. If you did not watch the other videos from this week or read the article you should watch/read them today. Also, don’t forget to do your Google Classroom assignment on The Turtle and The First Fourth of July.
