Mrs. Hickson's Class

Dearborn Public Schools

4/21

on April 21, 2020

The district has had the Continuity of Learning Plan approved. It is important for parents/guardians to read it so you will know how things have changed since we first began remote learning. You can see it here: https://dearbornschools.org/services/dearborn-public-schools-continuity-of-learning-plan/.

We will be having a Google Meeting at 1:00 pm today! The link is at the top of my Google classroom. It is now right under the class code on the top with the flag background. The link won’t work until I start the meeting.

Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 3/16 – 4/17, please email me that you have turned it in. (This DOES NOT apply to students who are up to date with assignments.) Google classroom doesn’t notify me when you hand it in. This is not necessary for current assignments that were made this week, 4/20 – 4/24. The most important thing right now is to start completing the work from April 20 through the rest of the year.

Also, some assignments are created by me and some are created by Mrs. Stetz. You should be doing all of them. This is similar to what we did in school but you might not have been aware of it.

*********************Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Goeke, Mrs Ackerman, Mrs. Poisson, and Mr. Kwiecien have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on. Watch for Google meetings with these teachers!!************

Let’s start the day with a little DISCO!!!

If you don’t have a printer, watch the video and look through the pages. You can write out your own food chain links. You should have your anchor phenomenon papers handy and a blank page to take notes if you need it. Stop at slide 11 of the slideshow with Doug talking, we will do the anchoring phenomenon connection tomorrow. https://mysteryscience.com/ecosystems/mystery-1/food-chains-predators-herbivores-carnivores/119?r=12633561#
