Mrs. Hickson's Class

We will be having a Google meeting tomorrow, Friday April 17th, at 11:00 am. We are no longer able to use ZOOM so we will be using Google Meet for the rest of the year. I will be posting the link on Google classroom five minutes before the meeting. Please look over the meeting norms. This is the way our meetings will have to be run from now on. You will need to have your math review from today completed and available so we can go over it tomorrow. We will also discuss this week’s Scholastic News assignments.

Grade 5 Google Meeting Norms:

Teacher: 

1. I will inform you of the meeting times on the blog and in the email a day ahead of time.
2. I will try to keep meeting times the same each week.
3. I will send a link out 5 minutes before the meeting.
4. I will be prepared to answer questions.
5. I will provide 5 minutes at the beginning or end to use the chat for appropriate talk with friends.  Chat is not to be used during the meeting for side conversations (off topic.)

Students:

1. Be on TIME please.
2. Dress appropriately.
3. No stuffed animals, toys, or any distractions should be brought to the meeting. 
4. Mute your microphone, unless you are asked to speak.
5.  Raise your hand or ask questions in the chat.  
6. Stay seated, please.
7. No side conversations in the chat while others are sharing.
8. Be prepared with any materials the teacher requests.

     9.  Stay positive!!!

     10. Listen & share with your eyes, ears and heart!  

*** If the teacher feels the student is acting inappropriately, the teacher has the option to remove the student from the meeting.***
