Students, if you are turning in an assignment on Google classroom that was assigned 3/16 – 3/27, please email me that you have turned it in. (This DOES NOT apply to students who have already handed those assignments in.) Google classroom doesn’t notify me when you hand it in. You do not need to email me for current assignments that were made this week, 3/30 – 4/3.
Also, some assignments are created by me and some are created by Mrs. Stetz. You should be doing all of them. This is similar to what we did in school but you might not have been aware of it.
Next week is spring break so there will be no new assignments or updates on the blog or in Google classroom. (4/6 – 4/10)
Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, and Mr. Goecke have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on. Also it’s virtual spirit week so check and see what our activity for today is on the flyer below.

I’m going to have a milkshake now! Want to join me?

Scholastic News: Yesterday we will finished the issue 3-30-20: Stolen Gold. We referred to the article “Were You Fooled?” to find details
that support your answers. Remember to write in complete sentences. THEN, finish the magazine and complete the Quiz Whiz and News Review on the back page of the magazine in the Google Classroom assignment titled Scholastic News 3-30-20 Part 2.. Click on this link, then elementary, then on the 5/6 magazine. Then use the class code of 204math. https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/ If you did not finish this yesterday, please finish it today.
Tuesday there was a new article to read called “Lost Treasure” from Scholastic News on Google classroom. You also have a couple of written assignments that go with it, Take Note and Close-Reading Questions. If you have not completed this assignment or last week’s reading responses or Readworks assignment, please finish those as well.
Novels: As you finish your book, you are going to do one final journal entry either explaining something you figured out, a surprise you had or a confirmation of a previous prediction. THEN you will write a book review. This would be like a commercial for the book, highlighting the title, author and basic plot of the book. You can recommend it as well if you think others should read it. Remember not to give away the ending. We don’t want to spoil a good book for anyone. Make it interesting and enjoyable to read. Use good word choice. If you also want to record yourself doing the commercial I would love to see it, email it to me. IF you want all of us to see it after break, ask you parents and I will email them out to just our class daily.
