Happy Monday and welcome to our third week of remote classroom learning! You are all doing a wonderful job! Keep up the great work! Don’t forget that Mrs. Baloga, Mr. Harvey, and Mr. Goeke have assignments on Google classroom for you to work on. Also, don’t forget to Sharpen the Saw each day. Do something you want to do just for fun! I know you are limited right now as to what you can do, but try to find something that makes you feel good. Don’t forget to hit TURN IN when you are done with an assignment on Google classroom. I can’t give you feedback if you don’t turn it in.

Dearborn High School has invited us to join in their Virtual Spirit Week! They would like people to post on pictures in their won social media with the tag #pioneerpride. Have fun!!

We’ll start the day with a fun camp song!!

Math: Today we are working on Module 5 lesson 9 . Here is the link to the video: https://embarc.online/mod/page/view.php?id=311

This week’s lessons will be a bit different. Watch the video as usual and then move to the homework. The problem set pages do not have the numbers to solve because they are meant to be done as part of the lesson in class. If you would like extra practice, email me and I will give you the numbers, but do it after the homework page. Then move on to Zearn lesson 9. You can still do the application problems.

When you are done you can work on ZEARN, Moby Max, or Khan Academy.

ELA: Read some more of your novel. There is a reading response assigned on Google classroom. There is a new article to read on Readworks. If you have not completed last week’s reading responses or Readworks assignment, please finish those as well.

There is a new spelling list on Spelling City. Spend some time getting familiar with the words and their meanings. Study them and when you are ready have someone give you a spelling test!

I have had a couple people send me their personal narratives. It was wonderful to read them! I would love for you to use some of this time to write. Write a story, a poem, a journal, create a graphic novel…anything. Just keep your brain busy creating! You could even think back to today’s science and write about your experience living on the moon!

Science: We are doing another Mystery Science today. What would it be like to live on the Moon? After you watch the mystery there is an assignment on Google classroom for you to complete.

I found a read aloud about the moon for you. It tells us facts about the moon and the space program that I thought you would find interesting.

If you have not completed all the previous mysteries you can look at last week’s posts to find all the links. The assignments are on Google classroom.

Social Studies: Now that we have begun the American Revolutionary War against Britain, we will begin to look at some of the specific events and people that were involved. We can’t possibly talk about every person and event…there are way too many. Today we are learning about a special group of men who belonged the group called the Green Mountain Boys. There is an assignment on Google Classroom after you watch the videos. If you are not caught up on Liberty’s Kids you can find the other videos on last week’s blog posts. If you didn’t have a chance to play Road to Revolution Jeopardy here is the link.
