Happy Friday! Can you believe we’ve been having virtual classroom for two weeks! You are all doing a wonderful job!

ZOOM MEETING!!!

I have scheduled a voluntary Zoom meeting for the class just for fun at 11:00 am today.  You will need to first download the Zoom app on the device you will be using. I have emailed you all the link. When you open the email, just click on the link under Join Zoom Meeting and it should go to the meeting.  I have also added the meeting info and the link onto Google classroom. I will be unable to answer emails during the meeting.  Please remember that I am new at this.  I hope it works.  My test meeting went okay but it was only with one person.

Don’t forget to spend some time practicing your recorder or maybe sing some songs or both. Also, try to do something physical today. Mr. Harvey, Mrs. Baloga, and Mr. Geoke have assignments on google classroom for you to work on. If you didn’t finish last week’s music, art, and/or PE you can also do those.

Don’t forget about Virtual Spirit Week this week at Lindbergh! You will be posting your photos on your own social media feed for your friends and families to see.  Today, you can share it with Ms. Tiba and she will create a slideshow or collage of photos on our school blog for everyone to see!!! Join in the fun! I’ve loved seeing your photos! Check out the link to see what we are doing each day: https://iblog.dearbornschools.org/bartonl/wp-content/uploads/sites/491/2020/03/0.png

Let’s start Friday with a cat party!

Math: There will be no new math lesson for today. If you need to get caught up the lessons from the week are on each day’s blog. We have done lessons 5-8 this week. You can use today to get work on ZEARN, Moby Max, or Khan Academy. You could also play a math game with a family member.

ELA: Today you should read a few more chapters of your novel. If you didn’t finish yesterday’s Readworks assignment then please finish that today. I have added an extra credit Readworks article you can do, “Who Wants A Spiny Snack?”

Some of you have reading responses to your group novels to finish. Pleases work on those today too. So far we have done a prediction, setting, character compare/contrast, a roll the dice choice response, and a text to self response.

There is a new spelling list on Spelling City. Spend some time getting familiar with the words and their meanings. Study them and when you are ready have someone give you a spelling test!

I have had a couple people send me their personal narratives. It was wonderful to read them! I would love for you to use some of this time to write. Write a story, a poem, a journal, create a graphic novel…anything. Just keep your brain busy creating!

Social Studies: Here is the link for Jeopardy: Road to the Revolution! Have fun! I hope you like it!

The answer slide for Trivia-$200 is missing. I can’t get it to go back on correctly. The answer is Loyalists.

Mo Willems can be seen live each day at 1 pm on the Kennedy Center site. If you missed it yesterday, here is yesterday’s Lunch Doodles.

It’s time for our Home Safari with the Cincinnati Zoo. Today we are meeting the giraffes. The Cincinnati Zoo goes LIVE on Facebook everyday at 2:30.

Let’s go back up to the International Space Station to find out how they recycle water.

Our just for fun story today is A Bad Case of the Stripes. I know you’ve probably heard this story before but I think it’s always fun to hear again.
