Happy Monday!! I hope you all had some fun this weekend! This week is Virtual Spirit Week at Remote Lindbergh!

Your parents will be posting your photos on their own social media feed for your friends and families to see.  On Thursday, you can share them with Ms. Tiba and she will create a slideshow or collage of photos on our school blog for everyone to see!!!

Join in the fun! I can’t wait to see your photos!

To start off your day here is a fun video to get you up and moving!

Math: We are finishing the review on Google classroom today and moving onto lesson 5. Watch the video, do the lesson on ZEARN, and then complete the problem set #5- 6 and the homework.

Here is the link to the Lesson 5 video.

When you are done you can work on Khan Academy, Moby Max, or

M-Step practice if you have time.

ELA:

Read a couple more chapters in your novel. Complete the responses from last week if you did not finish them yet.

Read another one of the Articles of the Day on Readworks and write three facts you learned or relearned from the article. Please do not copy and paste.

Spelling-There is a new list on Spelling city. Please practice the words so you can become a better speller. When you feel you are ready, have someone test you on the new words.

We have Lotus and Feather as a read aloud with responses.

After you watch the video there is an assignment on Google classroom that you should complete by Thursday. Remember you can always watch the video again if you need to!

Social Studies: There is an assignment on Google classroom for you to complete by Wednesday.

I couldn’t resist giving you a song! 😉

Science: Today’s mini lesson has to do with Leap Year! Watch the mystery below and then complete the google doc titled Why Do We Have Leap Years?

You can watch Mo Willems at 1:00 on The Kennedy Center site. This is his Lunch Doodle from Friday if you are unable to do that.

Today you can meet Rico the porcupine! Don’t forget that the Cincinnati Zoo is Live on Facebook everyday at 2:30 with a new animal friend! I think Rico is so adorable…I’m not sure my cat and dog would agree though!

Time for snacks on the International Space Station!

And finally just for fun, “Sylvester and the Magic Pebble.” This is one of my favorites!

Well I hope today you learned something old, learned something new, and had some fun! Always remember if you have any questions or problems please email me! hicksol@dearbornschools.org

See you tomorrow! Don’t forget to play a game and take a picture for Lindbergh’s Virtual Spirit Seek!
