Fifth Grade M-Step

on April 11, 2016

Fifth graders will be taking Michigan’s required testing,
the M-Step, in the computer room this year. The on-line testing is required for all fifth graders attending a public school in Michigan. The fifth graders from our room will be taking the test during testing sessions with either Mrs. Bush’s or Mrs. Gardner’s class. The tests are supervised by the teachers and certain members of our school staff. The students will test for approx. an hour at a time and are scheduled for two test sessions per test day. Since the tests are not timed an accurate time period for how long each specific test will take for each student cannot be given.

M-Step Schedule

April 12- ELA Day 1
April 13- ELA Day 2
April 14- ELA Day 3
April 19- Math Day 1
April 20- Math Day 2
April 21- Social Studies(Only one day)

It is helpful if students get a full night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast on test days. Also, please avoid being absent or tardy if possible. Students who miss a test will be given the test during a make-up session(s) that will be scheduled as needed and will be supervised by qualified school staff members.
