Español I
This last week, students in Spanish 1 started the week off by doing a couple of vocab games with partners and computers: Jugamos con el juez (Playing with the Judge) and Palabra secreta (The Secret Word). Students then watched a couple videos of native speakers talking about the food and activities that they like to do, understanding the main idea and important details of what was being said in the videos. On Thursday and Friday, students read and compared infographics (pictures with text) in Spanish about the most popular music listened to in both Mexico and Latin America. Finally students began an activity at the end of Friday called Asiento caliente (Hot Seat) in which they ask questions in Spanish to a student in the hot seat.
Español II
This last week, students in Spanish 2 started the week off by doing a couple of vocab games with partners and computers: Jugamos con el juez (Playing with the Judge) and Palabra secreta (The Secret Word). Students then listened to various tv commercials related to current vocabulary and tried to figure out what products and vocabulary they applied to. Students then played Piccionario (Pictionary) with the vocabulary and learned about informal negative commands combined with a Kahoot game and partner activities.
