Recap of October 8 to October 12

Español I

Last week, students reviewed the numbers with a bingo game and reviewed their practice letters. On Tuesday, students wrote a letter as an assessment (quiz) and did very well averaging 92% between the two classes. Students then learned about descriptions for people and did a mini-presentation in class with a partner on a famous latino or Spanish-speaker. On Friday during the half-day, students watched a video about four college students from New York, who went to Guatemala, and tried to live on one dollar a day, like many Guatemalans and much of the world.

Español II

Last week, students began the week with a Jeopardy review of the Chapter 6 vocabulary. Then on Tuesday, students took their interpretive and vocab quizzes. Wednesday and Thursday saw students working on presentations for the upcoming week. On Friday, second hour had Spanish during the half-day. Students in second hour watched a video about four college students from New York, who went to Guatemala, and tried to live on one dollar a day, like many Guatemalans and much of the world. This upcoming week, students have their presentations on a recipe with a partner.
