Español I
This last week, students worked with a variety of vocabulary terms and then used them in context to understand the main idea of an authentic Spanish website learning about the different dates of Mexican holidays. Students also listened to a native speaker talk about his birthday in Spanish, while students successfully were able to identify this idea and many details. In the upcoming week, students will get more practice with the vocabulary in context and have another Jeopardy review session before their 1.2 quiz on Wednesday.
Español II
This last week, students practiced ordering with an authentic menu from Spain reinforcing their knowledge of vocabulary terms, while learning how to order politely in a restaurant. Students later learned how to use informal affirmative commands and played a couple of games in class using these commands. During the next week students will learn to identify and apply these commands in real world Spanish while reading and then summarizing authentic Spanish-language recipes.
