Hello families!

I hope everyone is doing well and getting adjusted to this new school years schedule. We have had an exciting first few days and are off to a great start! I am so excited to keep getting to know my students and their family members as the weeks progress. There are just a few points I wanted to touch on:

There will be 4 homework assignments weekly as written on the calendar found in the blue homework folders. This homework is to be completed in the blue homework notebooks that were sent home last week. Please keep the notebooks at home and send them back to school with your child on Friday. I will keep the notebooks over the weekend and hand them back on Monday. Also, please date the homework assignments as your child completes them in their notebook. It is easier to keep track of what they have done that way! In addition, I will be also be sending home weekly math packets. Each paper will correspond to a lesson we have learned in class. This packet is due on Friday along with the homework notebook.

Reading folders were also sent home today. A note inside explains everything you need to know about Daily 5 and our Rainbow Sight Words. If you have any further questions about this please do not hesitate to ask me! I will be sending home flashcards with the sight words on them real soon so be on the lookout for those as well.
