Math

This week in math class, students continued reviewing and practicing money skills. They continue to work on identifying coins and bills by names and worth, adding coins and bills, and calculating change using a $20 bill. Place value has not been mastered yet and will continued to be addressed through daily bell work at the beginning of each class.

Language Arts

This week in Language Arts class, students continued working on punctuation. Student continued working on the difference between using a period (.), a exclamation point (!), and a question mark (?) by writing sentences for each one and sharing them with the class. Students also continue to work on their memory and listening comprehension by listening to the story The Adventurer’s Guild and having class discussions about the events of the plot and writing in their journals.

Job Skills

This week in job skills students collected recycling, worked at the school store, and used the internet to research a career they were interested in pursuing after high school. Students will be creating a poster displaying their findings for their jobs. Once finished, students worked on the proper format for letters and emails.
