Important Days to Remember
Invention Fair- Wednesday, June 6, 1:30 – 2:15 or so.
Gym – Tuesday-Please remember to wear tennis shoes and bendable clothes (not jeans or slip on shoes).
Thank-you for preparing your child for the computer tests.
Field Trip -Thank-you to the wonderful chaperones that came to the field trip. Thank-you to Ayah’s mom, AbdulRahman’s mom and Sally’s mom. We couldn’t have gone on the field trip without you! INVENTION FAIR- Please come to our invention fair! Our class will have an invention fair on Wednesday, June 6th at 1:30 p.m.. Your child should have made either a game or something useful (but it does not have to work at this time). It is just the idea of what the invention can do. Your child has named the invention with a name that hasn’t been used before. If it is a game, he/she should have developed rules to play it.
Your child has been writing about the invention at home, . We wrote an opinion paper selling the invention’s attributes to parents, staff and students that come to the invention fair. Your child will be the inventor selling the invention idea (short speeches) to all the presidents of different companies (invention fair visitors). Then the presidents decide to give $1,000.00, $100,000.00, or $1,000,000.00 dollars for the idea (They circle the amount on a piece of paper). The inventors add up their papers from the presidents (parents, staff, students) and find out how much money they made from their invention idea.
This is a big event! Thank-you for your support and if you are available to come on Wednesday, June 6th at 1:30 p.m. through 2:15 or so. It is in our room 202.
We need parents to come be presidents of companies to buy invention ideas (just for fun, of course).
