Mrs. Ballnik’s Classroom News

Important Dates to Remember:

Parent Meeting – in room 207 (Mrs. Hammoud’s room)

Wednesday, September 11 at 9:50 a.m.. Please come if you can.    Students will be in their Media special class at this time.

Open House– Thursday, September 12 at 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

    Come to my room 202 in the main building. I look forward to meeting you and having your child show you around their classroom. I do a scavenger hunt that your child will get credit for as they show you their desk , room and projects.

SCIENCE

     I will send a Mystery Bag home next week.  Your child is to put something to describe inside the bag and then not tell anyone what it is.  Please do not put any food in, because it may rot.  We will take turns letting the class use properties to guess the item in the bag.  Help your child put the properties on the worksheet outside the bag to describe the item.  The properties are in categories such as, size, shape, texture, color and hardness.

    Thank-you to everyone that has sent in contributions for the class.   I take these all year, because we always need tissues.

    Post-its are another need of the class. Please send some in, if you are able to.

PLANNERS– Please send these every day because we use them. The spelling words will be written in them, also. There is a charge, if a planner is lost.

    I am planning on starting spelling next week.

    We have had a wonderful start of the school year.    Our class is kind and trying their best!   We will attain great heights with such a cooperative class!    Be sure to contact me by email, note, or call, if there is anything that you want to comment or have a question about.
