Dear Families and Students,
Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Zahara Attia. I am excited to be a third grade teacher again! I love to teach and inspire my students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers.
This is my sixth year teaching at River Oaks. I graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn with high distinction. My major is Mathematics and I also have an additional endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). In addition, I have my Masters in Educational Leadership. The past few years that I taught at River Oaks, I have gained a wealth of teaching and learning experiences. I can’t wait for this new school year!!
My family is my rock. My husband and I have two wonderful boys, Hussein and Mahdi. Hussein is starting Kindergarten at River Oaks this year which is exciting! My son Mahdi will be in preschool and this will be his first year in school. Our boys motivate my husband and I to give our 100% because we are their role models. During our free-time, we enjoy reading, singing, dancing, cooking, eating and playing together. It is fun being a mommy of two boys!
I look forward to a year filled with learning and creativity for your child. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Zahara Attia
