IXL Skills -please look for starred skills under 3rd grade.

❒  FF-Context Clues: 1, 2, new

❒  HH-Sentences, Fragments and RunOns: 10

Raz-Kids:. We will continue to use Raz Kids as our assigned reading. Students who are reading at levels A-J will continue to read and complete at least 2 quizzes per day. Students reading at levels K-Z will only be required to complete one quiz per day. Need to read 30 minutes daily. Keep reading until 30 minutes are up or split it, 15 minutes then another 15 minutes

Your child should listen, read AND do the quiz for each book. They need to be working on level up, not in the reading room. Also, if your child is having trouble on the quiz with a specific skill for example, the author’s purpose: they can use IXL to strengthen their skill then complete the quiz. If your child does not complete all tasks, they can’t go to the next level.

Math: New Module 6 (see google classroom for assignments and videos)

Zearn: Module 6 Lessons 1, 2, 3, & 4

These are the steps you need to for for math

1. Complete application problem (depending on lesson) found in google classroom, you may print or write your answers in notebook.

2. Listen to the lesson Mrs. Attia recorded for fluency, application answer and concept

3. Complete lesson on Zearn until next level is unlocked and stop, do NOT move ahead

IXL Skills: Math IXL will be more students that want extra practice once they’ve completed all steps above

**The skills below are for extra practice on multiplication and division

Writing: Students will use their knowledge of Text Dependent Analysis and Opinion Writing to complete writing related to Social Studies. Students will answer the following question: Do you think the government of Freedomia will work? Why or why not?

1. In your notebook, while reading/listening to the social studies book, you will stop and write.

2. When you write, you need to write in complete sentences. That means restating the question, using it as a sentence starters found in Google Classroom then answer the question. You don’t have to submit on google classroom for this week, just write it in your notebooks. I trust you 🙂

Example: Why is an owl an interesting animal?   My answer would be: An owl is an interesting animal (restated question) because the author wrote (sentence starter) that an owl can only see straight. It cannot move its eyes sideways (answered question).

GoNoodle:  Stay active! Download the App and get moving! If you can’t download the App, go on YouTube and search GoNoodle.
