Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!!!

Hello parents,

I can’t believe the 2018 is almost over. We only have 3 full days of school left but there is so much to do! I am very proud of all the hard work and growth the students have been doing.

A few reminders:

-Wednesday is the last day for candy gram.

-The homework packet will be due on Thursday.

-I sent a math project with your child yesterday and it is due Thursday. I received many of them today and they look awesome! I will post a sample on the class story of the end product. We will continue working on the are robots on Thursday and Friday.

-Classroom parties will be Thursday from 2:30-3:15. 3rd grade team will be ordering pizza and watching a movie. Parents are welcome to join us. If you would like to send treats, there are 20 students.

-Friday we will take a mid-module quiz about area models. IXL is a great resource to use for practice on area. I have starred the area skills under geometric measurements.

-3rd grade team is not sending a packet home for winter break. We still need students to read and write daily for an hour. In addition, practice multiplication facts by skip counting. Again, IXL is a great resource to use for extra practice. It is important to make sure your child is doing this daily during the break because when we come back, NWEA testing will start. We need to make sure that your child will maintain all the growth and hard work they’ve been working on for the past few months.

-If you have any questions, please let me know.

Enjoy your break with your children 🙂

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!!
