Summary for the Week!

Hello my friends!

It has been a busy week with the transition and all. We are actively learning and enjoying our lessons. I love to incorporate technology with my lesson and this includes many educational songs. Based on the students’ suggestions, I will post these songs on the blog so they can enjoy them at home too. We are learning about myths and legends for the next two weeks. We will also write our own myth next week. We started Math workshop which was successful! For social studies, we are learning about the different bodies of water and landforms. For science, we are exploring different forces and changes of motion.

Finally, the book room is open and students have more books to read. I gave every student their own book box with books that they can read. These books will be updated frequently throughout the weeks. I will be sending book bags with students so they can read at home. Don’t forget MYON is a great resource to use for an abundance of books. Student’s received a card with their student ID number and birthdate which is the user name and password for clever (which is a interconnected log-in for all student resources). If you have any trouble with logging in please let me know. Go through the dearborn schools website and click on student resources. Hopefully, it will work from there.

  • I did grade the spelling test and will pass them out on Monday.
  • Don’t forget the fundraising money for Krispy Kreme is due on Monday.
  • It is cold season and we have lots of runny noses, some tissue boxes  and hand sanitizer would be great!
