MONDAY:

Homework: PDF 78-88. Add TWO ENTRIES to your TRIPLE ENTRY in GOOGLE CLASSROOM! THIS ASSIGNMENT IS TITLED RAISIN ACT 2 TRIPLE ENTRY!

Tuesday:

Students did a CFA in class.

Wednesday:

Students had the opportunity to catch up on any assignments from ACT I and II in google classroom and their reader’s notebook. All assignments will be checked over the weekend and the gradebook will be updated.

Thursday:

Students did a collaborative reading and analysis of pages 86-95 in class today. As they read, students were asked to add two entries to their Reader’s Notebook.

Students were also assigned a Writer’s Notebook today. The prompt is below for students who were absent.

Writer’s Notebook: Money and Life

Mama: Son- how come you talk so much ‘bout money?

Walter: (With immense passion) Because it is life, Mama!

Mama: So now it’s life. Money is life. Once upon a time freedom used to be life-now it’s money, I guess the world really do change…

Walter: No- it was always money, Mama. We just didn’t know about it.

Think about the above conversation between Mama and Walter from Raisin in the Sun. To what extent do you agree with Walter that life really is all about money?
