Writer’s Notebook: My Story

Over the past two weeks, we have read about the personal stories of Sandra Cisneros in “Only Daughter” and Ken Liu from “The Paper Menagerie.” Both stories offer readers a unique perspective about a moment in their life by focusing on the themes of culture, identity, acceptance, struggle, and love.  In your Writer’s Notebook, I would like you to now write about YOUR story, specifically a moment in time. You MUST choose ONE of the questions below and write ONE FULL PAGE about it. Use ONE of the questions below as a prompt. DO NOT ANSWER EACH QUESTION INDIVIDUALLY!

  1. What lesson in life did you learn the hard way? This can be a lesson about yourself, family, doing the right thing, decisions you have made, friends, relationships etc.

OR

  • Describe a time when your life took an unpredictable turn.

OR

  • What slice of your life would you like your children to know that shed light on what has meant the most to you?

DUE: 10/4/19                 Length: 1 Full Page

UPCOMING:
