WIC

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides healthy food, nutrition education (including breastfeeding promotion and support), and referrals to health and other social services to participants at no charge. WIC serves low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, and infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. WIC is available in all U.S. states and territories. It is funded by federal grants and administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, along with state and local agencies.

SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) helps low-income families buy the food they need for good health. It is funded by federal grants and administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, along with state and local agencies. SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities.

Free Meals for Kids and Teens Over the Summer

Summer should be a stress-free time full of food, friends and fun. Free summer meals can help. Healthy meals based on U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition guidelines are FREE to kids and teens age 18 and under and are served at sites such as schools and churches that may offer learning and recreational activities. Summer meals sites are fun, safe place for kids and teens to be active and visit with friends. No application or proof of income is needed.
