Happy Thursday! It is May, right?!?! Today’s weather forecast is predicting temperatures to be in the high 50s/low 60s which should be enjoyable, BUT temperatures in the 30s and 20s tonight and tomorrow night – ACK!!! I appreciate the sunshine, but I think we all deserve some more consistent, warmer temperatures. Get some sunshine when you and your parent come by Howard today between 1 and 3 p.m. to get your Module 5 Learn workbook. You already have the combination Succeed workbook for Modules 5 AND 6. Remember, too, that those workbooks need to be returned in June with the lessons completed or else you will not receive credit for your Math. AND – completed means showing work!

Today! Math Workbook Distribution
From Mrs. Sabbagh:
“Hello Howard Families, We will be distributing the Eureka math workbooks to our students, as we feel it will be very beneficial for them to continue the learning in the area of math. We will have a drive-up format in front of the school (on N. York St.) for the distribution of the math workbooks. It will take place tomorrow, Thursday, May 7th, from 11 am-1 pm for grades K-2 and from 1-3 pm for grades 3-5 (please select one of the time frames if you have children in both groups). We ask that you remain in your car during the distribution for your safety and the safety of others. In accordance with the governor’s orders, no students or parents are allowed in the school building. We appreciate your ongoing patience, flexibility, and support! Take care and stay safe.”

Happy Wednesday! I will be visiting our classroom today to get our Module 5 Learn & Succeed workbooks ready for pick-up tomorrow. Make sure your parents come to Howard to get your materials between 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, May 7th.

I know this is teacher appreciation week, and I LOVED the “Edible Arrangement” I received from Mrs. Hammoud on behalf of all of you yesterday, but think about it – who were your first teachers?! Happy Monday! Wasn’t it perfect weather this past weekend? I hope you were able to enjoy it. I enjoyed it immensely, but my back and arms are recuperating from all the yard work. It’s going to be cooler temperatures as we begin this 8th week of online learning. Howard School will let your parents know when they should come to the building to pick up the workbooks for Module 5 – most like Thursday this week – please make sure your parents follow the Howard Blog to get updates.

Happy Thursday! Last day of April already – can you believe it? It seems so surreal. I was able to pick up a few things from our classroom today for more options for our online learning. Visiting Howard was very surreal, too. Today’s weather is supposed to be a little dreary again, but at least it’s warming up.
